Considering how the U. N. and individuals nations are making laws favourable to homosexuality, but inimical to biblical Christianity, should not all Christians at this time embrace homosexuality in their teachings?
Dear Reader,
It is indeed a dilemma we biblical Christians find ourselves in vis-à-vis our governments and their legislation in favour of homosexuality, and at the same time marginalizing and even criminalizing biblical Christians who reject these homosexual legislations.
We understand that even parts of the Bible are seen as ‘hate literature.’ While governments are becoming somewhat totalitarian by seeking to control free speech, and even how one thinks in regards to homosexuality and abortion, Christians are continually reassessing their their attitudes and stance towards their governments. In many cases governments are causing Christians to decide whether they should obey their lawmakers, or whether they should hold fast their relationship to the Sovereign God. In some cases it is either, obey the government and disobey God, or obey God and disobey the government.
According to LifeSiteNews.com, May 6, 2009, an Australian lawyer and historian wrote in the ‘Australian’ that the UK is becoming “the first modern soft totalitarian state.” In the UK, this man writes, there are “thought police with unprecedented powers to dictate ways of thinking…and there can be harsh punishment for dissent.” And this is reality, friends. Canada, Brazil, and several other European countries would like to punish individuals for what they conveniently call ‘hate crimes’ against homosexuals. These governments have turned their backs on God’s morality and they are, through activists judges and lawmakers, making laws that sanction sinfulness. We know that the homosexual agenda is to completely obliterate dissent and try to cause everyone to accept this sinful practice as good and normal. How should Christians respond to these homosexual laws?
Friends, there is only one course the biblical Christian has; and that is to be obedient to God though the heavens fall! And we know that the heavens will not fall, but the promoters of evil and immorality will! It is important to remember that this is not a new situation for biblical Christians. Christianity was persecuted in the years following its formation; the Jewish leaders persecuted them, the Romans persecuted them, and where ever they went with the Gospel of the good news of man’s salvation they were vilified and persecuted. And we can fully understand that. Satan does not want mankind to be saved; he will use every means at his disposal to intimidate, kill, and persecute those who remain faithful to his archenemy, God. And many governments have wittingly or unwittingly sided with Lucifer. And he is meeting with much success with educated human beings! Let us remember one thing however, and that is, our Lord Jesus foretold us that all this will reoccur before he returns to earth for his faithful people. So we should not be fearful nor amazed that humans can stoop so low.
Here is what Jesus says in the Gospels, for example, (Luke 17:26 KJV) And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. And how was it in Noah’s days? Here is what we read: (Gen 6:5 KJV) And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And Paul tells us in Romans the first chapter that included in this ‘evil continually’ syndrome was the burning desire of men for men and women for women. Christ also tells us that Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed for their wickedness; and we know that their wickedness included the practice of homosexuality. So while biblical Christians must love and respect every one, including homosexuals, they cannot under any circumstances entertain homosexuality. Homosexuality is a sin and will always remain so regardless of how our governments and activists judges seek to dress it up.
Biblical Christians would rather die, or be put in jail for their Master’s sake. Jesus suffered terribly at the hands of the leaders of the Jewish and Roman world, why should we Christians think it strange to suffer for him, and as he? Jesus tells us: (Mat 5:11 KJV) Blessed are you, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. (Mat 5:12 KJV) Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.
Let us biblical Christians always remember that the earth is preserved specifically because of the presence of Godly people. They are the ‘salt’ of the earth. They are the ones that seek to preserved civility, love, and morality in the earth. And one day the Lord will return for his faithful people to take them to heaven and later to the New Earth. And those that reject God’s pardon and continue to practice evil? They will be destroyed forever; no more to exist nor to inflict pain and suffering upon the innocent.
May God continue to enable us biblical Christians to be brave, and empower us all to stand up to all governments that seek to enforce laws that are contrary to morality and godliness on earth. Let us also remember to pray for our governments and all activist judges and lawmakers that they may turn to godliness in confession and humility before it is too late. God loves them dearly and only wants to restore them to the divine image. God bless.
