Will Jesus really return to earth as some churches say?
Dear Reader,
Not only is the Bible very certain about Jesus’ return to this earth, it is also equally certain about the visibility of his coming. It leaves no room for doubt or guess. When Jesus left the disciples for heaven he had his angels reassure them about the manner of his return. We read in the book of Acts, (Acts 1:11 KJV) …Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven. The angel said that Jesus would come in the same manner as they had seen him go.
They saw him go visibly and will see him return visibly. Jesus himself said that he will be seen by people at his return. In the Gospels we read, (Mat 24:30 KJV) And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
And again in Matthew, (Mat 26:64 KJV) Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven. Finally, to make it abundantly clear so none would be deceived by those seeking to fool people about His return Jesus said to the people, (Mat 24:26 KJV) Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. (Mat 24:27 KJV) For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
Jesus said, when people say to you that Jesus is here or there, believe it not; for when he comes all would see him, just as they all see lightning in the sky. In the book of Revelation John says of Jesus’ coming, (Rev. 1:7 KJV) Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.
Yes, friends, we are assured that Jesus’ coming will take place and that it will be visible for all to see, even those who pierced him. The wicked will mourn and weep. How can this take place if none will see him come visibly? Let us all be ready for this literal coming so we will not weep but will be glad. God bless.
