Is it possible for humans to cast out devils? Normally, no. Humans are made a little lower than angels (Heb. 2:6, 7) and as such, they are more powerful than we are. However, in the Great Controversy between good and evil God has made it possible for humans to defeat these wicked angels but only in His strength and in Jesus’ name (James 2:7). Jesus has promised us that we, in His name, can do greater works than He did, not greater in quality, but in a larger number for we are many while He was just one person.
